Halfway between Calgary in the east and Kananaskis Country in the west lies the town of Priddis near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. This beautiful rural area, originally home to various native peoples such as the Stoney and Sarcee Indians, was settled by cattle ranchers and homesteaders during the late 19th century and early 20th century.

In 1907 Priddis and its neighbouring community, Millarville, decided to hold an agricultural fair and its still going strong today. Don't miss this annual event held in mid-August. It's one of the largest and longest running agricultural fairs in the country with thousands of displays and competitions and is well worth the visit. Riding enthusiasts should book a horseback vacation at one of the excellent guest ranches in the area. Plan to attend one of the many international riding events held here featuring riders from around the world.

Priddis accommodations include bed and breakfasts, guest ranches and campgrounds.
