Only 280 km (174 mi.) west of Edmonton is the town of Hinton, Alberta: gateway to the Rockies and Jasper National Park. Set on the eastern edge of the park, Hinton is situated close to the frontal range of the Rockies amidst spectacular natural beauty. A twenty-minute drive brings you to the gates of the park, and once through them you are only a short distance from Miette Hot Springs. A major attraction of the park, Miette boasts some of the highest temperatures of any of Alberta's hot springs.
