Moraine Lake

This jewel of the Rockies lies about 57 km (35.4 mi.) northwest of Banff, offers guided hiking and non-motorized boating in summer, augmented with world class winter time skiing facilities.
The lake was named after the daughter of Queen Victoria and is located approximately 5 km (3 mi.) uphill from the village of Lake Louise. This spectacular lake is nestled in a small glacial valley surrounded by snow capped mountains, lending a phenomenal view of this wonder of nature. It is the largest skiing area in Canada and is appealing to both the sports and nature enthusiast.
