The town of Two Hills is located 136 km (84.5 mi.) east of Edmonton, at the junction of Highways 45 and 36. With a population of just over 1,100 people, the town is in an agricultural region and offers home to retired farmers from nearby farms.
Two Hills is found in Alberta's Lakeland region, with recreational areas close to town offering camping, picnic areas, swimming, fishing, boating, and hiking. In winter, scenic nearby trails with agricultural land backdrops can be used for snowmobiling. Historic settings near Two Hills that saw early Ukrainian and East European settlers are reflected in the artifacts and exhibits of the Two Hills & District Historical Museum. Summer visitors can enjoy the two day annual rodeo with horse show, beer gardens, dance, and parade.
