Westlock Alberta Travel Information
With a population of just over 4,800 people, Westlock is located around 85 km (52.8 mi.) north of Edmonton where Highways 44 and 18 meet. Westlock became a village in 1912 and a town in 1947. Today agriculture, and some oil & gas, are the leading economic drivers for the town.
Visitors can view Westlock's pioneering history at the Westlock Pioneer Museum. The Westlock Recreation Centre and Jubilee Arena offer swimming, fitness, curling, tennis and baseball opportunities. Fresh produce from the neighboring farms can be purchased every Friday at the Farmer's Market. In winter, snowmobiling and curling can keep visitors active.
Enjoy small town hospitality at Westlock's bed & breakfasts and hotels.
